Quality NZ Barns, Built to Last

If you’re searching for a quality barn in New Zealand, you’ve come to the right place. We supply a wide range of barn styles nationwide — from the ever-popular American Barn to the practical Kiwi Barn and the striking Barn House.

Whatever your plans, whether it’s a workshop, storage, stabling, or rural
accommodation, we’ll design a barn that suits your purpose, your site, and
your budget.

Every barn we supply is site specifically engineered, built from locally sourced NZ Steel and clad in genuine COLORSTEEL®, so you’re getting a building that’s made for New Zealand conditions and built to last.

We offer four main barn styles, each with its own strengths. Our team will help you choose the one that’s right for you.

American Barns

American barns are popular for their extra height and central space, making them ideal for storage, workshops, or accommodation.

Kiwi Barns

Kiwi barns are the best value for money. They are a gable shed with one or two wings off the sides. The main shed can be any width, and the side wings can also be any width, so the combinations are endless, and each has its own look.

Quaker Barns

Quaker barns offer a great solution for upstairs use by providing a similar amount of floor space upstairs as the ground floor, making them suitable for accommodation and visual appeal.

Barn Houses

House barns are the dream barn. The idea of having accommodation on a rural landscape that looks like a shed is becoming a desirable housing option.

Choosing the Right Barn

Picking the right style comes down to three things: how you plan to use it, the look you’re after, and your budget.

Built for New Zealand, Delivered Nationwide

We design and build barns right across New Zealand. Our buildings are
engineered to handle everything the NZ climate can throw at them — high
wind zones, heavy snow loads, seismic requirements, and challenging ground
conditions.

We design around the cladding from the start, so everything lines up correctly with minimal waste. Other companies build to simple sizes and trim the excess — we do it properly from day one.

American barns are more expensive for several reasons. The structure is more complex, requiring more engineering and additional components such as brackets, bolts, and fixings. They also have more external components. For example, a standard gable shed has two gutters, while an American barn has four. There are more soft edge flashings, all of which add to the overall cost. These extra materials and design requirements add up quickly, making American barns more expensive than simpler shed styles.

Pricing depends on the design, size, and intended use. Because most barns are custom built, and there can be significant price differences between styles, costs can vary considerably. Get in touch for a ballpark price to get started.
